Owing to the highest sighting distance in all of the 76 lakes in the Salzkammergut region, lake Gosausee is enjoying growing popularity for dives. Next to our guesthouse a filling station is located where you can fill your cylinder with € 1,00 and € 2,00 coins. The dive card, which is required in order to dive, can be bought at our guesthouse for € 20,00 and is valid for 1 year.
For booking your diving lessons - whether beginner or advanced - we can highly recommend Diverspassion - a diving school and shop run by Gerold Schneider, who has more than 20 years of expertise in this field.
Every year there are also some dates where he offers guided diving experiences in Gosausee! In his shop in Thalheim you can get everything you need for your perfect dive.
The dive base Dachstein-Salzkammergut is located directly at the main road B158 between St. Gilgen and Strobl next to Gasthof Gamsjaga. The owner Gerhard Kaiser has many years of diving experience in various places in the Salzkammergut - amongst them also lake Gosausee. At diving center Dachstein Salzkammergut you can book guided dives, scuba dives and boat dive experiences. Furthermore you can rent diving equipment.
